As a sculptor it’s really important to understand the skeleton. Even more important than the muscles because the skeleton lets you know where the muscles are headed. Here’s some references from my ebook “An Artist’s X-Ray Vision: The Male Figure” that was basically just an assignment I gave myself to help myself and others “see” the anatomy better. Skeleton for sure. It’s the scaffolding and if you don’t understand it then it’s hard to get the direction of the muscles and their start and end points.
