Hi Saijin! I included a trace over to show you some construction and shadow mapping for the portrait. The reference you chose isn't an easy one! Smiles, head tilts, and just off center poses are all hard to draw. Keep practicing the simple construction of the head. I really recommend studying the Loomis head, and the Reilly rhythms. If you're able to, do some construction drawing on tracing paper over the reference. That's a good way to practice the rhythms, construction and to also get a clear accurate drawing from the reference. Then you can use that and try to copy the construction free hand. One thing with teeth, is "less is more". You don't need to draw each tooth but instead try to just indicate them via a simple line or two.

Omg! Thank you for this image! Really helpful! Btw I had a lot of problems with his teeth to keep the likeness. Thank you once again!

I would say you should get the proportion of mouth eyes and nose shape right and you should get the structure of the head right by using the Andrew Loomis method, focus on getting the shape of your inner ear by learning the anatomy of the ear and do the shading by learning the basic principle of light . The shape of the neck is very good. Keep up the good work.

Hello! I can really see your joy of drawing in this picture and that is lovely! About adjusting his head shape, I think it would make a great difference if you made the neck a bit thinner and the mouth smaller. Your Stan looks really joyful, but in the original picture his smile is not quite that big, nor does he have his mouth as open. Overall I think you could make him a bit less wide on the right side on his neck and face, (that is, his left side). I hope I could be of some help. Good luck in your art journey!

By the way, how can I adjust Stan head shape here? He got small and squareish face and its difficult to me to draw it.

Hi saijin. Portraits are really difficult to draw, because one single devergence in gap between the eyes etx. give a complete different expression to the picture. I would recomment to work on the basic structuere to get the exact positions of nose, eyes and mouth. Overall I really like how lively your drawing looks :) Keep up the good work!
