Hi @nahgul, cool drawing! - I think the thing that would make the most improvement would be to organize the values more. The values in the light and the values in shadow are similar here and there, which makes the form less easy to read. I did a paintover where I increased the contrast between light and shadow, and made the tones more even. To stay in control of your values, it can help to do a value study before doing the finished drawing. You don't need more than 5 values for this (I did one quickly, just to give you an idea ) If you want to learn more about values, Dorian Iten has an excellent course The Shading Course – Fundamentals of Realism, Light & Shadow (you can also view it with a monthly memebership on his website https://www.theshadingcourse.com/ ) - The proportions are a little off. The chin seem verly long, and the back of the skull too small. I think the solution to this is to be more thorough with the loomis head layin - The farthest eye feels a little flat. Thinking of the eyeball as a sphere with the lids wrapping around it like equator lines, could help Hope this helps :) Keep up the good work!

Subtle value shifts always get me because I'm too afraid to push them. and the chin thing might be because of the beard, probably should have indicated the beard a bit better. anyway, thanks a lot @Jesper Axelsson! btw this was my main reference for this drawing. I did change it quite a bit though, the most obvious difference being the perspective.
