Portrait drawing study in progress

My issue is the time that drawing needs, still adding details when I have time, feedback appreciated

Hi @colormeant, I think one thing to consider is that even when the figure is getting hit with direct light, most of the hair will still be kept in your dark value range. Even the highlight areas would be around a 6 or 7 in terms of value, so relatively dark. This allows the hair be treated as a simple dark value mass, and it allows for an interesting opportunity to design the shape of the mass of the hair to contrast with the face.
Hope this helps! And again, I love the softness in your work

I think the face is lovely, really nice. I agree with Levi's nostril comment, that area is drawing a lot of attention. Besides that, I think your drawing would benefit from some more detail in the hair. It would introduce some different texture to contrast with the skin. Really nice drawing, keep it up :)

I think most artists have that issue. You get faster as you draw more, but they always take time. Nice work!

I like what you have so far, the shading is really nice and I kind of enjoy how soft it is. Hard to know what to say if it's not completely done yet but I suppose I would say that for now my eyes go right to her nose, specifically her nostril where that highlight is. I think this is because it seems to be the sharpest part in an otherwise soft image.
Seriously though, it's looking good, just keep at it when you can. :)
