Cool! I feel like the arm should be brought a finish more. The exaggerated reflected light in the triceps shadow flattens the arm a bit. When combined with the texture of the shadow on the torso, the arm starts to feel less important and my mind gets confused about whats in front of what. I would try to make the arm more 3D, pop forward more. And make the torso, especially the shadow parts, flatter with less texture and contrast than the arm.

It's awesome @Andrew Keith that even though you are an instructor here you're still developing skills and willing to share your work with the community. It sets a great example, and is inspiring. Did you see things you wanted to change as soon as you posted (but couldn't take them down? I haven't tried that yet.) or did you see them after they were up a while? I ask because often the change of scale from a photo or posting will show me things that I miss 🤦‍♀️ when I've been looking at something too long, like using a mirror, or putting down a written passage for a few days before editing. Just curious. The part that caught my attention before reading @Stan Prokopenko 's excellent observation/recommendation about reflected light (which by definition is darker than the darkest light, right?), and changing your 'depth of field' was confusion of which is in front, the model's left forearm or his right upper arm because the biceps are so bright. Is your model lit from multiple light sources? One thing I really like is that there's a chunkiness and sculptural quality you bring to your work, even in the first prelim sketch. Looking forward to seeing where you go from here!
