Hello cna anyone give feedback on this figure drawing!!!!!
I think it’s good but I’d suggest more gesture personally. This one’s tough because it’s very subtle and easy to miss, but there is the slightest tilt in her upper torso in contrast to the pelvis titling the opposite direction to create a sense of contraposto. That creates a stretch on the left side of the image (her anatomical right side) and therefore a pinch on the right side (anatomical left). Also I think the feet in your drawing slowly shift to the right a bit too much, which throws off the balance. If you draw a center line straight down the center of the body, I feel the feet in the reference photo is just ever so slightly more to the left. Not by much, it’s very subtle, but just enough that it feels like she’s slightly tilting to the left in the drawing. I’d also suggest breaking each body part down into basic shapes. Treating the torso as 2 separate boxes, rib cage, and pelvis. And the head can also be a box. Tubes/cylinders for arms and legs. Find the unity and rhythms between 2d shapes, and then build it up in complexity from there. The contour should emerge from the volumetric shapes that create the form underneath. But it’s a really good start. Keep practicing. It’s really fun to see the progress and growth.
