From Cat Skeleton to Dog Skeleton

I drew a dog skeleton,
which pairs nicely with the cat skeleton I drew earlier.
While reading through references,
I noticed that the structural logic of a dog’s skull is actually somewhat similar to that of humans.
Basic components like the zygomatic bone and the upper and lower jaws have clear counterparts.
The differences in proportions and features between breeds are also quite interesting.
Next time I’d like to try drawing a low-slung dachshund as well.
This drawing had a bit of a rough fate.
Right before finishing it, I accidentally spilled coffee on the paper.
So I went with it and brushed on a toned background to give it an aged look.
Almost all the lines had to be redrawn from scratch.
At that moment my mood was probably as wrinkled as the paper itself.
