Finding the Balance Between Structure and Softness

Here's a figure drawing study. This time, I focused on practicing the transitions between harder and softer forms across different parts of the body. Areas with clearer bony landmarks, like the collarbones and shoulders, need a bit more definition, while the chest, abdomen, and sides of the waist have softer changes in volume. Some areas need more defined edges, while others should gradually blend into the shadows. Finding the right balance between suggesting the underlying structure and how I want the drawing to look is still an interesting challenge.
