Small boat warm and cool color study, exploring rich color variations through different pigment mixing ratios. In the afternoon at the pier, I often notice the warm light spots reflecting on the sea surface, bringing a sense of calm and comfort. After several walks and observations, I realized that the alternating cool and warm tones of the water, combined with the interplay of light, shadow, and subtle ripples, are incredibly captivating. I wanted to experiment with using pigments to capture this effect.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts—I really liked the second one too! The bigger contrast between warm and cool tones, plus the relaxed vibe while painting, made the strokes more interesting.
