Check it out, I started teaching my own drawing class in Ashland Virginia. I recorded this video as a rehearsal earlier this week. It turned out pretty good, so I put it on YouTube. You guys might like it: https://youtu.be/E4anTYln7jE?si=4SPTb_cawTx3Liru

It‘s a big step to put yourself out there, Rachel. I tip my hat to you.

Great work Rachel! Agree with everything you said. You could cut it in several short videos? Makes it easier to share. And the last drawing I could not see so well. Finally, the reason you are wearing a camouflage jacked, is that on purpose? Are you referencing Robin Sealark? ;)

Thanks for the tips. I’m just figuring it out as I go. I wore what I was most comfortable with since I’m not a fan of the camera. I’m sure Il get used to it eventually. I’ve never heard of Robin Sealark, I hope she’s cool.

That's a pretty good overview of how to break away from drawing with symbols and get a sense of form and rhythm in drawing. Beginners should find it helpful. The title was a bit confusing. I was expecting to see demonstrations of drawing from life rather than from imagination. Maybe "How to Draw With Life" might be a more fitting title considering some of the points you made in the lesson. Also, if you can turn off your camera's auto focus and set focus manually, it would eliminate blurring in and out as you move in and out of the frame. Best of luck with the classes. If you accept kids, I bet you'll be very busy during the summer.

Thank you!! This is helpful. I just got this camera a few days ago, Il remember to fix the focus next time. I had a still life set up for the live class. It was a huge help. I kept up with longer demos at the end referencing the still life. It was needed. “Drawing With Life” sounds cool but I wasn’t sure if people would get it. I didn’t consider teaching younger kids before, but maybe I could give it a try. Thanks again. You guys are great.
