Drawing Basics Rhythms Zoom Call

I'm just about to start in on the Rhythms section of the Drawing Basics Course. A few of us in the course have been doing regular calls, and this Sunday (7PM EST) we'll be doing exercises together using Stan's rhythms approach to gesture drawing.

How did this go? Did you have a good turnout? I coach and have practice that doesn't end until 7PM EST on Sunday evenings, so I'd be late joining if future sessions are typically at that time.

The calls have been going really well. Making friends that are walking the same path makes the journey more ABOUT the journey than ABOUT the destination. And if the path is enjoyable, we're more likely to stay on it.

I've really been enjoying the Drawing Basics Course. Even though I've been drawing for years, I keep coming across techniques and approaches that are new to me. I don't think there is a better foundational approach to drawing than what you're unveiling. Almost every book or class I've come across takes at least some little piece of instruction for granted, where you are not. This class isn't just useful in and of itself, it makes every other drawing class or book instantly more useful to students. For anyone paying attention, your class in an innovation in drawing instruction. I'll be working with the information in here for the rest of my life.

I'd love to try and join a call sometime, but I have some catching up to do. I can't make this Sunday work regardless. Hope I can maybe join in the future! I'll keep an eye out for your posts in case it works out sometime.
