Comic practice

This was basically my own way of seeing where I'm at skillwise. I tried my best to create a heavy set frame for one of the figures. Clearly I have a lot to learn skillwise. I'm learning anatomy one muscle at a time with the anatomy course, so I'm still learning the back muscles. Haven't gotten to the arms or legs. I also need to schedule time to study perspective. Any advice or tips that can help advance my growth. Exercises that can show the most result. I know I should practice drawing from my imagination to retain the information better, but I'd like to know what helped you guys the most.

There are a lot of problem with your composition. Your panel layout is confusing and it's not clear which one is panel no. 2. There's not enough space between your panels which makes it look messy and hard to follow. And it's also weird that you decided to ink before drawing the panels. As for the drawing part, you need to study your subject before you are able to draw it from imagination. Especially since your style is so anatomical you should continue studying from reference and occasionally practice drawing from imagination until you have fully mastered the figure.

Can't really offer much advice other than saying this looks great. I do know the editor and chief at Marvel Comics hates it when new artist send him work without the comic borders. It is a pet peeve of his. Not sure if that's industry wide or him being traumatized during the 90s comic era but you may want to keep that in mind if you get to the point of putting a portfolio together.
