Hey everyone! Ive just joined this comunity to share my passion and get some critique from other artists. Its quite hard to find a legit comunity with focus on the concept art,so i am really happy i had discovered Proko. For start I am posting here one of my latest project, Alien survivor called Emzyg. Looking foward to your response and maybe some tips of what to get better. Thank you, and hope you guys have a great day! Šimon

Hi @bouzex I like your character. Nicely done, funny details! There are two things I am think of. First: you have drawn Emzyg with lots of straight lines (see attached file), except for the spear. This makes him kinda stiff. But maybe this fits to his character? Second: If Emzyg and his ancestors live already very long on a sand planet, I think he should have other feet. Walking on sand is not easy. His feet are big, this is good, but they are also thin. Maybe feet like plates are better not to sink into the sand. Have you ever seen the feet of camels? And the sun would burn his bold heat. Maybe he should grow himself some hair or have a hood or maybe the solar panels could make a kind of umbrella?

Hey Dominik, You have mentioned some great points. I guess I will have to focus more on logical design elements, like your mentioned boots. Thanks a lot for your time and analysis! Helped a lot!

Hey Bouzex, I like your design, and the muted colors you chose. A couple of things I noticed you could improve on are your shape design and wrinkles. One thing that helps keep clarity in our design is to use simple and complex passages. Usually a shape should be simple on one side and more complex on the other. As far as wrinkles are concern, try to use them to show the underlying shapes and perspective. It can also help show the underlying anatomy. I did a draw over to show you what I'm talking about. I hope this is helpful :)

Wow, thank you, a lot Steve! There are so many things I kinda knew about but haven't paid full attention to them. I am definitely going to implement these elements into my future work. Thanks for your draw-over and analysis. Helped a lot!
