Vehicles have always been a struggle for me so over these past days I’ve been practicing the basic shapes and anatomy of cars and motorcycles. Still have a long way to go, but I was happy with these short freehand sketches. Definitely noticed I gotta work on proportions, line confidence, and those damn wheels! Cylinders are hard

this is a good idea. I am also terrible with vehicles.

Tried to follow along to get a sense but realized I was just unfamiliar with trains. Does make me realize that perspective and construction doesn't have to be super precise

If you are an architect, precision matters. However, for most art when it comes to perspective you just need to be "close enough".

Hey, I wanted to share one of the pages I regularly practice before drawing. I’ve done plenty of warm-up exercises before, but Peter Han really emphasizes some crucial points that have completely changed how I approach them. What’s your take on the idea of using pens instead of pencils? The idea is that it forces you to be more deliberate with your decisions, which could help you improve faster.

When I practice I still use pencil, I just don't erase.

Your final "btw" paragraph has me saying no, do not do the 140 for the course. Seriously, if it would be that much of a financial hit, and you can barely get the motivation to pick up a pencil - you're setting yourself up for even more disappointment in yourself compounded w/ the financial hit. There's plenty of free stuff, I'd do that if I were you, until when and if your btw turns around. I have motivation/adhd probs as well, and telling myself "If i spend money on this it will MAKE me do it". Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, quite the opposite. Mess around w/ free stuff, and if you feel the inspiration buy yourself an xmas present of the course

Yes. The process will depend on the tool, I'm really familiar with photoshop. Essentially you scan the image and your can isolate the line art to its own layer. That way you can color on other layers without worrying about covering over your line art. Plenty of tutorials on youtube on how to do this.
