Here are my 4 drawings from today. It was hard to not delve into the laces or textures and to maintain simplicity but I see why that was the assignment. This was an awesome learning experience! I have a small list of areas where I struggled and I will be incorporating sketches that involve them in my daily sketching.

Tried my hand at this after the pear. I am trying to stick to digital because it has caveats I haven't found a way to curb quite yet. This portrait taught me a few things of note: Holding my pen way lower than normal helped me keep some values consistent, raising my pen from the tablet messed with the layering and produced undesirable overlaps, and smudging tools are nice! But any advice from other digital artists would be fantastic! I really want to know if there is a way to lift my pen and not cause such odd layering.

I'm trying to get used to Digital Art, using Krita. Here is one of my pears. I drew this before watching the demo. Things I would do differently now: Shadow edges are too dark, Value 3 shape is off, and core shadows. But let me know what you think!
