Everyone is posting really nice drawings. Man, this is really hard for me. But will keep trying.

The task of simplifying the image to lines, without details is quite challenging. anyway, it was fun.
I was unintentionally drawing a lot of details which I had to erase.
The challenge for me was to show the stripes and shapes on the tiger withou drawing through every single detail.

These were a challenge
because there is some foreshortening going on in the picture. I wanted to go bigger and started bigger but I went wrong somewhere on my proportion. Luckily I went light and could erase. Curious to see how Stan simplifies these boots.

My mushrooms. Took me a minute to try varying line weight. Also combined this with my drawabox exercises

I think the mushrooms are improving if only infinitesimally.

Hi Jacob,
I would suggest trying to draw bigger mushrooms. So that if you are makimg mistakes - they become more obvious and easier to self critique.
Nice job by the way.

I previously posted a Lv2 drawing with pencil.
This one is drawn on a tablet. My first try using a tablet for drawing actually.
I felt very uncomfortable compared to pencil and paper, but it was kind of fun

Hi, here is my second try on Lv2
I am starting to regret that I paid for this course. 6 lessons just about tools, seriously?
Most of that material I can find on YouTube for free (and probably on your channel).
WHY YOU ARE WAISTING almost an hour (56 minutes) just on tools??? why do we need a 20-minute video that explained how to sharpen our pencils???? Are you serious?
VERY DISAPPOINTED :(
Probably the last course that I paying on this platform!

The initial portion of the course is free and is also released by Proko on Youtube for everyone's benefit.
I suspect that the more specific portions of the course and more specialized ones will be Premium only.
The same goes for other Proko's courses: a portion is released for general public, but the core stays for premium users.
I do not see anything wrong with that.
And these initial lessons are pretty good considering they are absolutely free.

I started using 0.5mm fine liners with drawabox course and they are wonderful, easy and fun to draw with.
You guys should definitely try those out.
I will stick to pencils and sometimes digital with this course though.

Can anyone suggest any equipment for blending my pencil colors? I'll appreciate it very much 🙂

Blending stump does the job. But you can as well use a piece of paper stacked together a couple of times

Hi,
I believe the plan is to release 1 lesson per week starting from Jan 2023 with something like 100 lessons in total. So the 3 lessons are actually released sooner

I know it’s early but I got inspired by everyone..and the perfect reference picture Proko posted. So, I popped in my ear buds, played Game of Thrones soundtrack and got lost. Tried several mediums graphite mechanical pencil, ink and ball point pen. Any criticism is welcomed.

Hi guys,
I am just starting to draw and by no means an "intermediate" artist, but I felt I could try the portrait. Could you please give your feedback ? This is only an HB pencil.

Would you recommend some other courses to be taken in parallel or simultaneously with this course for a person who is just starting to learn to draw ?

I did it! So excited! Heading over to drawabox.com for the next weeks and looking forward to January. I am not really a beginner but despite drawing for over 40 years now by no means a pro ... hope I made the right decision.
