Here are my 3 first attempts, i think penguin was the best it was my first try but was also the easiest, the hand the proportions are way off and need to be corrected and I lost the idea of confident lines a bit for that one, with the vr girl it got messy so it was hard to add the details might help me to go even lighter with my first lines so it will be easier to add details later. Something that really helped me with this project was blocking out the space first and then carving the shapes out after.

Here are my attempts, the boots are really hard I really cant figure out those laces and the perspective is also making it difficult, hopefully the demo will give me some good insight

Final pear I did on my own after watching the critiques tried to improve my pencil work to make it less messy and I also tried to make sure the values contrasted well, i think the fourth and fifth lightest values might still be too close but I improved a lot off my other attempts and the shape of the pear I think looks much better this time and closer to the photo !

Its still messy, didnt help that I dont have an eraser or pencil sharpener right now but I can see that I need to improve my edges so I’ll give it another go now that I did it along with the demo
@amaising
First attempt looks more like a potato than a pear, I’ll try again and see if I can make improvements after the demo

Hey, there! Overall, you've got some good stuff going on here! I do want to recommend you try to even out the areas you fill in. With those brighter patches poking through in the scratchier areas, the viewer's attention gets caught up there when you want them looking at the rest of the drawing where you have all your good details.
