Marshall, about the composition bootcamp, if I purchase the eavesdropper tier, will I be able to watch the feedback and project briefs if I don't catch the streams? (Timezones make it difficult to watch live)

People who want to work in the games industry know how to make both 2D and 3D art. How easy is it to transition into 3D if you know how to draw and paint?

What is the best way to get inspired? Like when you want to draw something and you don't know what to draw?

Heya Sinix! I'm following your art path in life, self teaching and working to getting a professional job in concept art. Since I'm following a similar path to you, what would you recommend to yourself when you were learning? (Drawing exercises, books, etc) Also will you make a course for concept art/digital painting?

I'd recommend posting these in the figure drawing section since you made the beans, not sure about the animal construction though. Though these are really good! Maybe the connection between the beans is a little thin, but overall, great work!

Heya Sinix! I love your art style and your tutorial videos on Youtube, so I'm really looking forward to this stream tonight :D Over the past year I was planning to go to art university, however because of the world pandemic, I didn't end up going. I'm really glad that I did that since I've been learning a ton from teaching myself with online art courses, and I've heard that you only taught yourself too. Since I'm following a similar path to you, what would you recommend to yourself when you were learning? (Drawing exercises, books, etc) Lastly, will you be offering any courses on Proko? Thanks Sinix!

My name is Cyan, and I've been teaching myself to draw and paint over the last year. I'm looking to become a professional one day, and I'm working hard to achieve that!

This is the start of a new art community, so it's important to have fun and introduce ourselves! People can use this post to say who they are, what they like drawing/painting, and maybe show off a piece of theirs or two (or three!). Thanks everyone! o/

Heya, Welcome to the community! It looks like you've got a good eye for colour in your first picture, noticing how colours actually change hues when hit with light or shadow. To improve on these, you should work on your values more, I've got a great video for that here. Only about the first 35 mins are extremely important, then you can listen to the rest like a podcast since it's roughly the same idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWMMo1v594Y&ab_channel=NoahBradley The general concept here is that a picture reads from it's values. If I take your second painting and put it into greyscale, it looks quite flat, but if I quickly paint over some darker colours, there's a lot more depth in the piece already! The colours I used were random, since hue (Colour) doesn't matter much compared to values. I just painted over the piece with a multiply layer, and made the sky much brighter to add more contrast/hue variation. You can tell how your hues are in a piece if you make a new layer, set it to colour, and make the whole thing grey. (here's a tutorial for that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJ2HOj22gDo&t=358s&ab_channel=MarcoBucciMarcoBucci) Hope that helps and keep up the great work!

Heya! I've recently finished the course fully and would like some criticism on my best ones. You can be as harsh or kind as possible, any criticism is welcome. Thanks!
