My apple, done in Procreate. I'm pretty new to digital painting and I enjoyed painting along with you. I think I have learned a lot of things in these past 40 minutes (I paused sometimes to find the Procreate equivalent for what you did or had to rewind to see where this or that layer went).
Hi Dwight, I think it's a really nice portrait and you got a relatively good likeness. What I perceive as "wrong" about the eyes is their wobbliness. HER lower right eyelid and upper left eyelid are not really rounded - or do not seem so because of the shading? Also, the eyes are probably not set back far enough. In the picture the shadow above the eye is darker where your lighter shading makes it seem more prominent. The chin and nose are too short, but you already noticed that the proportions were not quite right. Nice work though!
2022/7/17. Good evening everybody. I've always loved borderline female characters. From Snow White's stepmother to Catwoman, from Elphaba from the musical Wiked, to the very recent Jinx from Arcane through Elsa from Frozen. I don't really know why. I find them all incredibly beautiful and strong but also very maternal and with an irresistible sensuality. Do I sound weird? However, among vampire ladies, witches and demonesses, one of my favorites is Lilith from the video game Diablo. This is a small tribute to "Benedecta Madre", Mephisto's beautiful daughter, Lilith. Conte B, charcoal, white charcoal and charcoal powder on smooth paper 42x29 cm.
Hi community, my very first submission: from the series « severance », what if the MDR team got a five minute mini golf celebration…? I have run out of time on refining this one. It is my first real Procreate project and the character design process took much longer than I had expected. Collecting the reference photos also was more difficult than I'd thought it would be ( I put everything in a Pinterest folder: https://www.pinterest.com/creativemack1/drawing-inspiration/severance-proko-challenge/) I certainly had fun creating this and learned a lot by making lots of mistakes ;-) Still, after spending this much time on the picture, I found the courage to post it. Hope it can bring some smiles to those who know the series.
This poster is about my art journey, specifically when the pandemic hit, and I had just turned 30. Growing up, I was discouraged from pursuing art in any way and was sometimes even told that I'm not talented enough to be an artist. They may be right about my lack of talent. But part of my quarter-life crisis was this realization that even in art, if you put in the effort, you improve. I feel like age 30 was when I really embraced this idea and started to commit work towards it. Getting back to the poster, the zombies in the background are everything in my life that was holding me back from fully connecting with art, such as self-doubt and lack of self-agency. I broke out of the prison that I grew up in, took a swing at the zombies, and gained a couple of art skill points along the way (hence the paint on my spiky baseball bat and clothes). Maybe due to the abruptness of the escape, I don't feel perfectly equipped to navigate the art world yet, like a freshly made game character that's still picking up gears from tutorial quests. So that's why I'm walking around barefoot. Well, that's about it for the summary, haha. Thank you for reading this far, and good luck everyone! :)
Title: The Tree Genre: Fantasy/Horror The tree is built entirely out of objects that represent a part of my life (the musical notes are those of a famous song - for those who can read music, it's not that difficult to figure out :). Ones and zeroes (my IT background, binary), weights around my shoulders + chain links (depression), books (love of learning), a large paintbrush (art of course), etc. The snake eating the basketball represents a back injury that destroyed my ability to play. Always striving towards, grounded in, and animated by the light, which represents truth, God, higher ideals, etc. The tree branches/fingers represent the avenues I'm pursuing as the outgrowth of all the experiences that have built my life to this point. It's difficult to say where each will end up. There are a few other smaller things thrown in as well (dead bird, a skull, and a mask), each of which represents different things/events :)

I am in love with the classic painted Hollywood movie poster aesthetic, especially horror ones. It's amazing how busy, bright and colourful they were compared to their modern counterparts! So, I've decided to take every artist's nightmare and the story of my life essentially, and turn it into a classic scary flick. Enjoy! I'm sure you all can relate ;P Painted digitally from scratch.
