Young monster epic snowball fight. My son loves Gamera, so my money's on him. I had previously posted this image, but had an opportunity to spend some time adjusting the composition today and couldn't edit my original post. I'm not sure if adding it as a comment to the post would have qualified, so figured I'd just resubmit.
@stoffkimba
*woot* We're not quite at the age where we would watch those types of movies, my LO sure loves monsters. So going to show this to him. Love (and a wee bit jealous of) how well you drew these monsters in rather complicated poses. 😮👏

"Beginning of a Snowball Fight", oil on canvas painting. I referenced an image (for the background and snowman) that I will attach later here. For some reason, i wanted to leave the audience with an sobering or ominous feeling from the scene, so hopefully this reflects some of that. I personally have never had any snowball fights, so i took this direction. I hope this piece does not get "vetoed" simply because in some way it does not live upto the "epicness" factor. Instead, i focused more on rendering the snow and snowmen, alongside the architecture and the figure's pose. I hope you have good time viewing my work. Thanks!
@stoffkimba
Pretty sure it was epic to the little boy in the picture. ;) I love that you broke out the oil colours for this one. It's very nicely rendered!

Hey there! We like to draw illustrations for kids using animals, all with different personalities and such. I wasn't sure whether to enter the challenge - I'm still much in the learning process - but, hey, it was fun! And I love supporting the proko team, you guys are amazing!
@stoffkimba
This is such a fun illustration with all those animals. My LO would so love this! (Actually, I think I'ma show this to him when he wakes up. :D)

Let's go boys , whatever it takes to win this!!

Loving the detailed landscape and "cross" composition. The snow fighting kids seem to be having a lot of fun. :) (The poor doggo, though, caught in the middle. ^^; )

I tried my best but still couldn't finish the piece. I wanted to share though, to get some feedback. Some kids beating up the uruk-hai in a snowball fight.
@stoffkimba
I love how you've got this central figure pointing at the "second star" in the back and ask these other details supporting the movement! I guess you just need to support your composition shading wise and that's it, no? Like e.g. make the uruk-hai overall dark and leave the rest light. (Sorry, that's all I can come up with rn, but awesome work in any case! :) )

I know I still struggle with colour, and after some frustration I thought it would be stronger as a black and white piece! Would love any feedback! Thank you!
@stoffkimba
You totally didn't need colour, the piece looks awesome! :) And the b/w works great for the snow theme, anyway. :)
