@Marshall Vandruff I am not sure if you are actually using this Forum but i thought it would be best to tag you too but to everyone else, feel free to contribute your input to that question. Does anyone of you know any good Resources to dive into that kind of Style or the Overall direction of Fantasy, "Children Book" Illustrations? the first thing which pops out are the highlight "windows" on her hair. doesnt make much sense when you look at the shadow direction. piece itself is still work in progress, right?

only thing i would touch up a bit is the left side of the wall. darkening it a bit more would draw the focus more on her and kinda "frame" her. i am not sure about the scene itself, if its supposed to be windows and a city outside but maybe some soft highlights from it might add a bit of a "cut" to the background for her to pop out even more.

looks good. some contrast could be more stronger to lead the eye more to her/focus on her a bit more but overall really nice. in case you need some inspiration in term of tools and how to approach charocal/graphit - eric messinger is a really nice source. he has a youtube channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ-ApZ9bAMBfsHnwOujfTSw/videos and insta page - https://www.instagram.com/ericmessingerart/?hl=de

the thing with drawing things from imagination is that its hard to do so when you dont "understand" the subject. you chose humans which in itself are hard to draw and at the same time easy to judge because every missproportion is easy to spot. the ideas itself and even color moods are nice but i think you should go back to them, try to get some ref for these poses/your ideas and at least do the linearts again for yourself to practice on that aspect of the work. since anatomy training is a big thing here on proko you should have no issues to find overall sources to improve your anatomy skills. you have the ideas, you just need some more training in the fundamentals which i share with you so dont let that discourage you and keep going.

the forum/community aspekt is something which i think, you should advertise more. i think a lot of people still think you can be just part of it by buying in. and greetings to marshall when you see him :p

the angle of his feed is looking weird compared to the perspective you established on his other body parts. i did a quick paintover to show what i mean. its not perfect but should be enough to show what i talk about. did some other lil tweaks on top.

i think you loose a lot of shapes with the way you placed the red on the nose and the cheeks. in the suggestion you see how i reduced that a bit and brought in the other local colors you established to get more shape on the form of the nose. on top of that i used your orange on the forehead and introduced it to other parts of your coloring so that it doesnt stand out just on that aread. i added some light in the shadow for the same purpose to bring the shapes more out. in the suggestion+ i added some orange from the background circle on the figure. its something you can do to merge both elements a bit more together but thats totally subjective and up to you. i hope thats helpfull for you.

as of right now when you go to your notifications and use the middle mouse button (or whatever you use to do it) to open that "link" as a new tab..nothing happens. you have to click on it with your normal mouse button to get to that post or comment. it would be great to have the option to just open it as new tabs, especially when there is more then one, instead to go trough them one by one.

The first one, with our little friend picking something at dawn, makes me curious what is the story. Our friend looks very bleary eyed. What is it picking? Is it caffeinated? Is it picking whatever it's picking for someone else (and that other person then is the reason why our friend up early and weary eyed)? I like them all, and that is the one that intrigues me the most.

Thats the last piece i Created from that Series. I try to have them not standing just around and tell some form of Story but let it open to the viewers/imagination which seem to have worked out in the "last" one :)
