LESSON NOTES
I demonstrate how to make a gesture figure sculpt from start to finish. I'll start by the armature and then move onto molding the clay. I also provide useful insights into sculpting throughout the demo. This demo is part of Vision X LIVE.

Go to the “Cheap Sculpture challenge” lesson and under the lesson there should be a button that says “downloads” and the reference photos are there to download. There will also be some additional reference packs in the future with other lessons.
Do you tend to use armatures more than once -- ie., strip off the clay and use it to create another different sculpture? (That's assuming it isn't something you want to keep to cast into some other material.)

Yeah these armatures can be reused and I often will remove the clay and save the armature for future studies.
Does Posespace have a phone app that allows you to swipe around the different photos on the all around series?

No I don’t believe they do but that would be a great idea! I think it’s just a website to download the photos and then when there downloaded I just put them all in one file on my phone and as long as the photos are in order I can swipe back and forth between the photos to see all angles.
Very nice Andrew. All new to me. I do have an appreciation for the craft.

Hey thanks! Yeah sculpture is definitely less common than drawing but I think if people tried it then there would be a lot of people who would connect with working in the round.
I’ve messaged you a few times about this topic I haven’t gotten a reply yet so I’m guessing you haven’t been able to see them yet so just in case you haven’t, will there be a video saying who the winners of the $5 sculpting challenge are and will this course have critiques?

He's recorded the critiques and picked winners. We're in the process of editing the video and we'll get it out within the next week or so.
