Why I Made This Course
This is a subject that is near and dear to my heart as I have been obsessed with improving my line quality for over three decades, but I could never find very good resources out there to help me understand the concept. As a result, I have had to learn the hard way through lots of trial and error. Along my "line weight" journey I've walked away with a lot of important concepts that I can distill and teach you in just a few hours. My ultimate goal here is to save you a lot of time trying to figure out this subject on your own and I've put it together in a way that both beginners and seasoned professionals will be able to benefit from.
Who Am I?
I'm Len Nicholas, also known as Toyagogo on social media and I have over 20 years of experience as a freelance concept designer and illustrator in the toy, film, and gaming industries. Along the way I've worked with top clients like Ubisoft, Hasbro, and Silvergate Studios. I'm now focused on passing on my knowledge to the next generation of artists.
My teaching method is deeply rooted in practical experience and a passion for making complex concepts accessible and I focus on a hands-on, project-based learning approach that encourages students to apply what they're learning in real-time. Each of my lessons is structured to build upon the previous one, ensuring that you not only understand individual techniques but also see how they interconnect to enhance your overall drawing skills.
