LESSON NOTES
In this refined edition of Part 2, we work on the first pass in color and a clear description of the materials in use.
In oil painting it is important to establish a good base of relatively accurate color. This dead color or local color pass is our way to prepare the surface for the final layer of opaque color.
I know there is a lot of enthusiasm about this one so, HERE WE GO!
ASSIGNMENTS
First gather your painting materials (see the first section of the video for details).
This phase of the project our goal is to lay out an accurate mosaic of local color values in oil paint that will establish a context for the final painting.
