LESSON NOTES

In the last lesson we learned the anatomy and motion of the obliques. If you haven’t seen that video yet, make sure to watch it now. This drawing demo shows how to construct the torso using simple forms and then add the obliques on top. Use the demo to check your own work.

Looks good! what I notice is that you are much more confident and precise with your lines AFTER you follow along with proko. I think taking that confidence and strength into your lines and shapes on your first try (which I know is easier said then done) will really help your style!

Hello there here are the asignents, I really don't get that much the oblique, can someone help me out? Thanks! :D

What might help you is to exagurate the obliques. Right know many of the drawings seem like you just drew down a straight line from the ribcage to the iliac crest. In reality the bottom part of the obliques will bulge outward. You did indicate something like this in some drawings but even there you could have pushed that effect more. Also try to play with the compressing and stretching effect that proko talked about. Try to exagurate the compressed part even more but make the stretchted part thinner.
