Trying something different

Hi, For this illustration I wanted to try a different style than the one I usually use. C&C are welcome. My English is not very good, how would you refer to this style of illustration? Thank you very much.

I like the atmospheric perspective you added to the tail to push it back and add depth to thee image, nice job :)

Thank you. The idea is that it is the initiation flight of a young man from a tribe of dragon riders. I imagine dragons much larger than humans so any kind of saddle didn't seem adequate and I wanted to explore other alternatives.
