The way i hold pencil and time to draw

I have special way to hold pencil for all my life.
And i saw in the start of drawing course, he said there 2 hold way. The first one is the regular way, that i dont know hhh, i need to learn it too?? Or i can still hold the way i know ( i add picture)
Plusss i work alot at officework and alot of more stuff, i want some tips from pepole that in same place like me, look bus trips, long work days in office and more..

Hi Boris. Art instructors teach a certain way of holding a pencil, not always the same way, to enable us to make a wide variety of strokes, ranging from light and loose to dark and firm, with maximum control. Most people hold the pencil in the standard writing form, which doesn't really allow the flexibility needed for drawing.
Learning to be comfortable with a new way of holding a pencil takes practice and perserverance, but it's worth it. Still, if the way you hold the pencil allows you the range of marks and level of control you need to effectively make the marks you want, you're all set. If it doesn't, it would be a good idea to learn the recommended method.
