Testimonials and Reviews?

This is probably something you’re already planning for when the paid mentoring and critiquing comes online... Will there be a place or a way to give testimonials for teachers, and ratings for courses, now that we have more teachers onboard? @Stan Prokopenko , of course all your courses will be five stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟, they’re already proven, great content, densely packed with fun and humor ☺️. I’m thinking of what a great job @Liandro Roger has been doing, and how generous he’s been with his time, going out of his way to find students looking for help, and providing expert, inspiring critiques over a wide variety of topics. He consistently finds something he likes and a way to honor the students’ work, no matter where they are on their journey; his advice is spot on; and he gives actionable advice so students can improve immediately. (He’s rapidly becoming one of my favorite people on the site.)

@Teresa Bolen right now we do have a review system in place and it's based on up votes and down votes users give each video within the course. You'll see the total review below the course info page (see screenshot). We probably will implement a testimonial system at some point once we get more people selling on the site.

Ah, that’s really important info, @John B ! I thought the upvote was more like a “like” button on FB, a way of acknowledging that you’ve seen something even when you don’t comment. I had noticed the percentage, and wondered what it meant! The 3-D models are still crashing on my iPad in Chrome (I need to install Firefox, but I like Chrome), just like on the old site - so by not voting them up, I’m communicating, sort of, that they’re not quite fabulous yet on my device? Reviews are very helpful when deciding whether or not to spend valuable time (and money) with a course. There’s a platform I’ve used, reluctantly, because they don’t have reviews or testimonials to guide you, so I only go there when I can’t find what I want anywhere else. On that site, there‘s an instructor who advocates the use of flake white (hello lead!), and has a habit of holding his paintbrush in his mouth 😋. Good to have a heads up on that kind of thing. I’ve also taken a class there that was pure magic. 🤷‍♀️
