any feedback or general thoughts on these would be great thanks
Hi! I would say to study the manniquization a bit more to make sure the parts are properly placed in perspective. It seems that you are trying to consider the gesture of the whole body which is great. Maybe you could do more gesture drawing on the same pose until it feels like everything flows. Then, as a next step, if you are having trouble with the structure whole body I would try to first figure out how to place the bean or robobean. Then I would add the legs and arms as simple cylinders
Also I would watch out for proportions. The feet on the third one look a bit small
:)
Thanks a lot for the feedback, and sorry for the late response... my bad :') Will definitely try this out on the next few!
Hi there! I love the action in these and as someone who skates they definitely capture that movement well. One thing I would suggest is doing an extra step to clean things up a bit. You could try lightly erasing (a kneaded eraser rolled over the image works well) leaving you with an under drawing that is very light. From there you can pick out one strong line for your final image.
Hi Matthew, Thanks for the great suggestion! I'll definitely try out doing finalized versions this way. And thanks, I'm glad I captured this sense of movement, as I don't have much first hand experience with skating.
