Robo bean critique
2yr
Wenhan Lee
Hello, As a novice at figure drawing, I've wanted to study the torso more in-depth. But to make sure I got the basics down, I did three 2-min gesture drawings with robo beans. It's been a while since I have drawn robo beans, so constructive criticism is appreciated. References are in the comment section down below. Thanks.

Hey Wenhan Lee, I like your drawings, they have a lot of gesture which is really good, very expressive. I did some sketches of your poses that I think might help you. Make sure you really look at the poses carefully to really see what the masses of the body are doing. Always look for where the weight is distributed, all the tilts and perspectives. I hope you find this helpful :)

Hi Wenhan, They look pretty good. Looking at the refs, maybe on the middle drawing you could show a bit of ribcage top plane and pelvis back plane. It would provide a bit more visual info and make the pose more dynamic and interesting. Check out Stan's tips on exaggeration in the gesture drawing vids. V useful!

Thank you for the feedback, much appreciated.

References. Also, I think my drawing on the right is a bit inaccurate because the pelvis is not wide enough (the bellybutton is also not on the right place).
