Hello! I’m new here and I would love to know if I’m doing okay. I tend to over think a lot so i started doing 45 second gesture drawings. Can someone please give me some tips or let me know if I’m doing okay?

@Gonzalo Contreras B Hey, Gonzalo! Nice work! 🙌🏻 Yes, you’re certainly doing good so far! I like that your sketches look very simplified, yet clear enough about the poses and actions. Gotta keep that up! I agree with @Rizwan Piracha when it comes to using C and S curves to design the gestures in a dynamic / flowy way and avoid the “snowman effect”. Definitely take a closer look at the concepts Stan presents in the lessons, and, above all, keep practicing with these principles in mind. Practice is where the real learning takes place, and it might take some time and conscious repetitions until we start to really figure out how to work these techniques. But don’t worry - just keep your deliberate practice going on a regular basis and new horizons should unravel. Hope this helps! If you have any questions, feel free to pop them up.

Hi Gonzalo, Remember to tick the 'Post as help request' box when you're posting stuff. It's easier for people to reply and it's also flagged as 'asked for help' so you're more likely to get feedback. The drawings look good. It's clear what the model's doing with their body which is great. The only thing I'd suggest is to watch Stan's gesture videos a few times and note the kind of lines he uses, specially for limbs. He has some good tips about avoiding 'snowman effect' and how and when to use C curves and S curves etc.
