Mannequinization

@nahgul
I have been practicing mannequinization (what a complicated word) and just wanted to know your thoughts on these recent studies of mine. I would consider these to be the better ones I’ve drawn recently but I still see some flaws in them and generally have a hard time drawing mannequins. I would really like to know your thought on these drawings. Personally I think that my main issues comes from drawing the legs, forearms and generally just the quality of my lines. Any feedback is appreciated!

I agree with @Steve Lenze, nice job, @nahgul! I especially like the twisted torso in the second one!
As for the line quality, one thing I believe you could certainly try is to draw more from your shoulder and use single continuous arm movements to draw long lines (such as the lateral edge of a cylinder) rather than “chopping” your arm motion into smaller strokes. Even if you are to draw the same line several times (“superimposed lines”, as @Irshad Karim calls them), make sure to draw the entire line every time from one end to the other instead of connecting various smaller lines to try to make up for a longer one. In case you need extra tips, here’s the video where Stan shows the technique: How to Hold and Control Your Pencil.
Hope this helps.
Keep it up!
Hey nahgul,
These are pretty nice, especially the way you kept the gesture in your mannequin. That is something a lot of people struggle with. The one thing I would suggest is that you make sure your pelvis tilts down and away from the torso. Also make sure your legs lock into the pelvis box. I did a sketch to show you what I mean, I hope it helps :)
