Hello family!! I have already painted my first finished traditional illustration. I did It acrylics on watercolour paper. Every feedback helps me a lot to improve my drawing. Im happy with the result because I started drawing and paint 2 months ago.

Thank you so much!!
Really impressive for a first painting, Alberto! It’s inspiring to see someone come back to drawing after so many years and make this much progress in just two months. Keep studying the fundamentals and experimenting — I’m sure you’ll improve incredibly fast.
This is your first painting ever?! Like, ever ever?? Dang! That is impressive. Seriously, good job. My first painting was NOT this good haha. I think it was a paint-by-numbers I did in eighth grade that I somehow even ended up messing that up haha. But this is on another level, especially for a beginner. Wow! You should be proud. Excellent drawing and such a smooth application of flat color. That's harder than you think it should be, isn't it?
I mean, since this is clearly stylized, it's hard to critique because I don't know what's a conscious style decision or not. Also, the paper curling at the bottom, I think, is contributing to some perspective issues I feel like I'm seeing. So, I'll just say, I think the hands are way too big compared to the size of the head. But maybe you did that on purpose? Some of the linework in the robe feels a little random, like you're not understanding the fabric but just throwing in lines for the sake of it. But again, could be stylistic. I don't know. And I think the facial features are out of perspective. Check that the horizontal lines of the chin, mouth, nose, and eyes are all parallel. I feel like either the right eye is too high or the mouth is crooked... can't quite tell.
Either way, it's an outstanding job. Keep it up!
Hello Dan! Thank you so much!! Yes, It's my first paint ever. I drew a lot until 10 years old, but after that, I haven't drawn since then. Now, Im 31 years old and I've started drawing again because I always liked it. I want to try learning fundamentals with Proko's courses and some good books to see how far i can go.
Again, thank you so much for your feedback and motivation, It helps me a lot!!
