Looking for critique - structure
3yr
Natali Santini
I'm back with figure tructure studies this time. I focused mainly on finding the horizon line (still a bit tricky for me) and then determining whether the form is coming to me or away from me, if I see its bottom/top/side plane. Just thinking about perspective. First I found the horizon line, made a perspective grid and then sketched in the gesture. Then I drew the forms. Sketches number 3 and 8 have somehow lost their balance in the process. Thank you for your feedback!

These look great. I didn't get to this lesson yet but one thing I noticed is that it looks like your cylinders can be a little wider around the thigh in the first three drawings.

Lovely work! Really dynamic and fun. I have a few suggestions, but I'll have to add them later.

Wow Natali, what an improvement! Your attention to perspective has really payed off, I can really tell the space these characters inhabit. The gestures also look good, and you managed to not stiffen the drawings when adding structure. I suggest that you break up the torso and pelvis so that you can really see the twist. Remember, there are three independent masses to the body that can move in different directions, the head, torso and pelvis. I hope this helps, and keep up the good work :)
