Looking for critique

Hey! I recently finished this piece which I was planning to add to my portfolio. Following are the rough and end product. From my point of view I kind of get the feeling of it being little bit muddy especially around her head but I am not sure how to fix that. I would appreciate any helpful critiques Thank you!

Hey Nishant, I like the painting, it has a lot of personality. I think what is causing it to look muddy is because of the bluish color you are using in the shadows. Because the skin is a low chroma orange, when it mixes with the blue, it creates a gray color. Using blue in the shadow is fine, but because it's kind of mixing with the skin color, it's not creating the cool colored shadow that I think you were going for. This happens a lot to oil painters who blend the shadow color into the skin color instead of mixing a new color as a transition. I hope this is helpful :)

Thank you so much, Steve. It was really helpful and yes, I was indeed going for cool shade shadow for night scene vibe but I guess I messed that up and ended up with that muddy blob. After putting your advice in action, it turned out much nicer than earlier one and I am quite happy with this to move on to my next piece =)
