I need critique on perspective and structure of drawing the heads

@persona937
I spent a bit of time drawing these to make the head poses have a bit of the original person's looking direction and face structure

Nice work! This is really tough stuff to wrap your head around. A few suggestions... Before you get into the structure for each head, make sure you get the perspective right. Go through each axis and ask yourself if it's rotated on that axis. Here are some questions you can ask yourself to help: - Is their head turned? Are they looking straight at you? Can you see any bit of either side of their head? Or just the front? - Is their head tilted side to side? Are their eyes level, or tilted in one direction or another? - Is their head tipped? Can you see the top of their head, or underneath their chin? Are the ears above or below the line of the eyes? If I'm confused about any of these, I find it helpful to construct a quick box that's oriented in the same way as the head. I make the box then and really ask myself, "is this box rotated the same way as that head?" Sometimes I literally start with a box and construct the head inside, sometimes it's just a reference to make sure I'm seeing things correctly. Other times the rotations are obvious enough that I can skip the box. When I'm really confused—especially when it's rotated in multiple dimensions—it can help to have some landmarks to check against: - The angle between the outside corners of their eyes. This angle will dictate the angle at the base of the nose, the corners of the mouth, and the chin. - The angle between the outside corner of their nose and the inside corner of the eye. - The angle between the outside corner of the eye and the top point where the ear connects to the head. Here's a quick paintover to show the angles mentioned above. I did it on both the reference and your drawings so you can compare. I also added a small box showing the general orientation for each head.

I'm pretty sure the red line, you have marked and related to the top of the ear is the brow line (in the Loomis head), not the corner of the eyes. If you're looking straight onto a face the top of the ears are level with the brow line.

Wow thanks for that detailed analysis! I’ll definitely try to apply what you said the next time I draw.
