I've been learning to draw recently...I have been watching YT videos and was doing ok...copying things...not horrible but not creative...sort of like the video where he talks about "that looks just like the picture" and all of that...lol. I looked around a perspective videos realizing that I needed to understand it...so after the usual "buildings, roads and boxes" I stumbled on this course... HOLY COW!!! I know I'm not much of an artist YET but I CANNOT BELIEVE that I can look at an object and move it around in space; different viewpoints....wow! I realized that it's essentially "solid modeling" or "drafting" sort of. I have done some solid modeling for work computer models of aircraft and such and took drafting in HS. Here is a representative sample of what I did just a few days ago (the 2D girl image) and then my scribbles now...I just want to show off my meager efforts., I realize that I still suck..but I suck so much LESS than just a week ago! These are all "quick sketches" not meant to be super polished, I'm just practicing putting things in perspective...the tuner I did a bunch of times from different angles ALL FROM MY IMAGINATION!!!! The bedroom one I was so surprised that I could do that! The hearing aid box, I couldn't believe it....it's a superpower!
