I want to learn how to use values and give my drawings a better look, should i just take a painting, made it black and white (and grey), and copy it with my own values? i want to render my own drawings from imagination... but dont understand how to get there, it feels like copying wont give me that much... how do you study how to light objects? is there a road of "first do this", then do that? im at a loss here.
