Gesture drawing feedback

@kartoffelpuffer
These are some gesture drawings I’ve done recently. They’re all a 2 minutes time limit. I would like some feedback on these. I’ve been practicing gesture for probably longer than necessary (without moving on to other things) but I never seem to be satisfied enough. I have moved on only recently to studying things like the bean and basic shapes, but I still practice gesture every session. These are also ones that I consider to be “better” than the rest. Anyway, I need more than my own judgment. So, any feedback would be appreciated.

Here are some new ones drawn today. I watched a video from Alphonso Dunn this time and used a bit of a different approach than that of the other drawings. I really tired to capture the motion of each pose.

Hey, @kartoffelpuffer, I think these are really good! The figures have a nice sense of flow and effective simplification. I like that the linework feels loose. The poses read clearly, and there’s even good handling of proportions and a slight sense of form. Great job!!
If anything, for my personal taste, I’d suggest you could play around a bit with some more exaggeration - pushing the poses to more extreme degrees of motion. Just experiment daring how far you can take each pose before it “breaks”, as this can be a helpful exercise.
It’s certainly good to keep practicing gesture once in a while in the long run, but I’m glad you’ve already moved on to further lessons. Feel free to keep sharing your progress through the course!
Good studies! 🙌🏻

Thank you very much. I will certainly try exaggerating more now.
