Daily Gesture Drawing

After a little break from art study, I've been doing daily gesture figure drawings the last few days to get back to basics. I'm trying to overcome my tendency to be overly sketchy and messy by focusing on clean, deliberate lines, trying to follow the example of Stan in the Figure Drawing Fundamentals course.
To that end, I've been doing only 30-second gesture drawings the last few days. It's challenging to be clean and identify the gesture at this time control, but it's the medicine I need. I feel a little better about today, but I still fell into old habits here and there.
Feel free to join in with your own daily gesture drawings, whether of figures, heads, hands or even other objects.
I jumped into today's 30-second gesture session without a warmup. I did feel a little awkward at first, but I warmed up during the exercise.
In today's 30-second gesture session, I did it without a warmup session, but that didn't feel as awkward as I expected.
I felt a little off doing today's 30-second gestures, although I don't think it shows as much as it felt.
Today's 30-second gesture session. I finally sharpened my gesture study pencil, and I definitely noticed a difference compared to the stubby one.
Today I went a little more loose and sketchy. I also used a stub of a pencil since I need to sharpen the pencil I usually do gesture studies with. Since I normally use the stub for warmups, I think it helped me stay loose.
Sometimes I find myself drawing larger and not getting as many repetitions in on a page. On the other hand, I find it very comfortable to draw longer, sweeping strokes. 30-second gesture
On one hand I felt a little rushed today, and on another it felt like working a little quicker helped in some ways. 30-second gesture
