I’ve been working on this drawing and have asked other people for feedback. It might be my lack of skill or I might be overthinking it. But link always looks off to me. Any other feedback is appreciated

Hi. You're not far off. There's a few details that will help. The eyes aren't quite following the cross contour of the face which makes them feel flat. Also there's generally speaking a slightly tilting inward plane from brow ridge to zygomatic/cheek area, its noticeable around the far eye of the top left reference. Notice how the cheek curves in towards the eye and then the brow ridge curves back out which is partially covered by hair. Its also subtly indicated by the shading on princess peach's eyes. The arms feel short in proportion because there's little indication of foreshortening that'd take place from this angle. The leading shoulder is closest to the camera and would feel bigger. It would also cover a bit of the torso and then taper into the arm. The back arm is mostly covered in the angle, but you can still indicate back shoulder and arm are overlapped and peaking out behind the rear hand (most evident in the top left reference.) Then pushing them further back with shadow would give more sense of depth. You can also play with foreshortening of the sword, I think you're going for the effect of it coming at the camera a bit. In which case the tip would be large to give the effect of being close the viewer and then quickly taper down to the hilt. Its a neat concept, don't worry about lack of skill, it'll develop as you keep experimenting with the composition
