If there are fellow artist trying to get into the animation Industry I want us together an help each other. for the past year and a half I have been learning how to use photoshop, animate, and other industry standard tools. my problem is that my have trouble really improving my digital at while my traditional has gone smoothly. If you want bounce off each other, give each other help then I implore you to answer this topic. I also have a discord server although I don't really use it. If you are interested in being a mod to help me with that as well please let me know.

I have tried in the same way to learn frame by frame 2D animation for the longest time.
It was a dream for me when I was younger to able to create my own animation shorts.
I don't have any experience with frame by frame animation on paper, only digitally, with Krita (because it is an open source software).
What I am lacking are mainly the fundamentals and good storyboarding skills (it is why I am trying to learn how to make comic books because I consider them as elaborated storyboards).
I just wanted to answer to your post because it piqued my interest.
