Breaking down figures

Rathciel
Hello everyone, Here's some studies i did last week. Trying to breakdown figures into forms based on @Antonio Stappaerts lesson on Proko channel. Not ready to get more anatomical and still using simple forms. Critiques are very much appreciated! Have a nice day :)

Great Studies @Rathciel... You've done a really good Mannequinization.

Great Studies @Rathciel I did a slight draw over for one of your mannequinizations where the proportions just seemed slightly off, mainly due to the size relationship between the torso and the hips. Otherwise, all of these drawings you've done are really solid studies. I think you might be able to take it to a slightly higher level by using a different mannequin. I took a look at some of your personal work and it seems like you've had some experience with figure drawing/painting. I've attached an image of one of the mannequins that Stan uses, and I think you may be ready to try doing some studies using that mannequin. The weird thing about the mannequin that you are currently using is that it's abstract enough so that the legs can be placed in several different spots in relationship to the hips, and it still feels 'correct'. With a slightly more complex mannequin, we can assess if you're able to assemble the figure in a way where everything fits. Again, solid work. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much @Luigi Manese for the critique. I really like how you exaggerate the waist and it looks clearer where it facing on. Will try to use more assembled/ anatomical mannequin for future studies, i'm trying to re-learn how to approach on making art. Thank you once again!
