"Added a new topic"... can't comment

This is partly a test. I'm adding a new topic about... adding a new topic! I notice quite a few people asking for help/ critiques and there is no option to comment on their post. All these posts have something in common: directly below the user's name it says "added a new topic" rather than the name of a specific discussion forum. So I'm both pointing this out and testing to see if the same thing happens on my post, which is after all a new topic.

Thanks! I did some exploring and found that many of the main feed entries allow for comments. You can only leave a comment on the ones labeled "added a new topic" by clicking on the title. If you look at the main feed for these posts, you won't see the content box.

Thanks! Yeah what I noticed was, with many posts in the main feed, you can comment. The ones that are formatted "added a new topic" you can comment on only if you click on the title. Otherwise the content box is missing in the main feed for these posts.
