Ahk! I did this rush commish in two and a half days. Wild. About 13 hours and the reference photo was one of those old grainy framed pictures. I think it turned out alright considering! As usual, I could redo the whole thing three more times before being satisfied. But alas, after looking at something for two days straight you gotta give up and call it done eventually.
Is it done? Anything minor to add? Critiques are welcome as well!

Attempted to actually use actual paint today... And for some reason I love tiny canvases....

Working on this design as I've been a DM for 8 year. Just curious if the composition is a strong as possible before taking it further.

I find it really helpful to draw some guiding lines and really prep to get the proportions right. No harm in measuring a bit. The more work you do in the beginning making things go where they should on the face, the less you will have to erase and adapt later on. It took me a while to see the face as a whole, rather then individual parts, but since I have realized that portraits have become easier. Really, practice makes progress tho!

One of my favorite portraits yet! The more I stare at it the more flaws it has.... But thats what makes art interesting isn't it... There was a deadline so I submitted it to an art show anyways!
