Assignment posting time! The first one is the hierarchy of importance method and the second one is the the light and shadow method. I really liked the light and shadow method as it makes the drawing seem more life-like! Thought I can see how it can be difficult without a clear reference photo or a solid understanding of light. I guess that’s where the hierarchy of importance method really shines!

Finally finished this assignment! I know I’m extremely late with this and I figured out why; I took way too much time cleaning up the lines and focusing on matching the reference rather than capturing the flow. Next time I’m going to try to be looser and not try to make it perfect!

I think your self critique is spot on! While you've captured the contours really well, the gesture and energy is missing. Nice job self critiquing -- it's an underrated skill!

Finally finished! I don’t know why I had such a hard time with the boots drawing but that took me triple the time as the snail drawing! Though, I am happy with how both came out!

Hey everyone! My first time posting here, but I saw everyone else posting so I thought I would give it a try. My attempt at the Level 1 assignment. I got a long way to go, but I’m happy with how it came out. Any critique is always appreciated!
