Hello everyone~ I hope this post finds everyone well! I just recently finished the level 1 assignment on Simplify Pear from Observation. I would sincerely appreciate some feedback on how I did on this assignment. I took some time to critique myself, reviewing the demo and the critique video. Here are some things I found wrong with my drawing. I also included an image showing where I think these mistakes were made: —- The angle of the top of the pear is incorrect —- The corner of the top half of the pair on the right is too low compared to that on the left. (It should be a bit higher). —- I made the stem too light. I believe it is missing shadows. —- I feel like I didn’t simplify the shapes of the shadows and the lights enough, making them feel random. I think part of the problem is that I tend to focus too much on details and don’t know how to tackle this bad habit. —- I also felt the drawing didn’t have any focal point. —- Missing more highlights —- I'm a little unsure if my values are correct as well. —- I still need to work on my proportions Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong regarding the mistakes I just mentioned. Additionally, please let me know what other areas I need to improve, as well as any other errors or bad habits that I may have overlooked.
