Here are my final submissions. That's five out of many 2"x2" thumbnails that I made last days. All the reference images come from my private gallery. I really enjoyed the challenge, good luck everyone!!

Hi all. First I thank Proko & Tiffanie for giving us this great challenge. I made 5 thumbnails based on my own photography of my county landscapes throughout all seasons. 2x2", acrylics. I had a great time painting those thumbs!

Wow! Never realized there are so many colours to find in a landscape! They make me instantly happy!
@julia_nedzynska
Phew! I NEVER do landscapes, so this was a welcome trip outside my comfort zone! Had so much fun painting these, it's a brilliant exercise for using colour and shapes, will definitely do it again. Please tell me what you think! Painted digitally using Photoshop.

The city and the forest are my favorites. The light is so nicely captured!

Thumbnails -- 2 x 2 inch painted with gouache on Arches 140 pound coldpress, using 2 brushes, a 3/4 in flat and size 10 round. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I like painting with larger brushes. i live in Minnesota so I decided to embrace it and paint snow and ice scenes. Great challenge to start out the new year!

Here is my submission for this brand new year's first #prokochallenge (Are these hashtags required here as well?) for @Tiffanie Mang 's landscape thumbnails! I'll post the references in the reaction on this entry. I am actually proud of them, I had to redo a lot but got somewhere in the end ;-) How did you guys do?

Excellent work Janna! Love how you turn these every day pictures into a colourfull image and add a touch of mystery. As a spectator, you almost feel as if you are a part of the picture, wondering what is happening next.

Hi! Wow this was so much fun! Thank you for organizing this challenge! It was years ago that I painted. So I got myself the basic colours of gouache and some large brushes and got started. I have chosen a series of landscapes from the Italian Alps. I learned while painting. Mixing the colours to obtain warm and cold tones and getting to handle the brushes to bring in shapes and details. I tried to paint them in a similar atmosphere. Hope you enjoy. I had such a good time! Definitely going to pick up the painting again!

Something about your paintings give me fairytale vibes. Nicely done! I like the textures in them.

Hi! Wow this was so much fun! It was years ago that I painted. So I got myself the basic colours of gouache and a some large brushes and got started on some landscapes from the Ialian Alps. Certainly a challenge, especially with the large brushes and the thumbnail size. But I had such a good time! I learned while painting, mixing the colours and getting to handle the brushes to bring in smaller details. I tried to paint these landscapes in the same athmosphere.

Hi Inez, I like that you taped off the 2x2 on watercolor paper. I can give you my humble thoughts as Im far from being an expert. The first image is my favorite, I like that the house is partially covered , hidden by the greenery. I think its a successful compostiton and painting. Lots of interesting images that you compiled from the two different photo references that help to move the eye around.
