My assigments. I still find it really hard to SEE throught all muscle and stuff. But 'imagining' it first, thinking of the movement the person is making and keeping in mind the relation of tilt between torso and pelvis seems to be helping. Appreciate any critiques.

Tried to do some overlays on photo references. So MUCH is still a 'guess work' for me. I'm struggling the most I think because I can't understand the skeleton on its entirety still.
But, keeping forward. Would be great for any tips, what I got totally wrong, right, etc. Also, should I study the skeleton before moving ahead? Or just keep going focusing on the landmarks and construction (since I guess the skeleton will come later on the anatomy course).

Day 05 (Jan 7)
(Late posting) Today I watched the landmarks video. Still couldn't apply it so much to the drawings, but tried to at least make some marks on today figure session.
Tomorrow will try to do some tracings to identify landmarks on models and some drawings.

Day 03 (Jan 5)
Today I focused on the cubes, freehanding a bunch on paper, also practicing a little bit of shading (and sharpening pencil). Also, of course, a timed gesture session. Hope your art week is going well. :)

Really fun one! I have a lot of trouble visualising how muscles wrap around bones I'm constantly doubting myself over their thickness and then I end up drawing them 2 dimensionally. I really tried to push volume with these though, and it helped that I have a life model spare! Would really appreciate any and all feedback if poss.

They look really nice! The core shadow gesture is great! I think maybe in the fingers, it should be more a continuous gesture to indicate the general form, I fill it has too many bumps - which are not anatomically wrong! just think it loses a little of this gesture flow.
Anyway, really nice studies.

Day 02 - Today the time was shorter. I focused on the Bean, instead of the timed gestures, which I'll probably get back to tomorrow, while still doing more Bean studies.

Day 01 - Rewatching Proko's Figure Drawing Fundamentals series, and doing timed gesture sessions. Looks like Croquis Cafe is now paid, what a bummer.(I mean, they should totally charge, their work is amazing, but I don't have the money right now).
Anyone know a good alternative with timed sessions?
Anyway, here are the photos of today's studies.

Gabs' Fundamentals Journey2yr
Hey everyone!
My name is Gabriel Barros and I'm a comic book artist. I'm always trying to get better at drawing and decided this year to study the fundamentals using as a base the 'Art Curriculum' that's been posted around the art community (the one curated my Modern Day James).
So, I thought of making this space a kind of a journal, with my daily studies. I'm totally open to feedback and criticism, although I may not have time to reply everyday.
So, thats it. Thanks for this space, really!
