Dodge-man! The Untouchable Defender! He's quick! He's nimble! His enemies defeat themselves! I really wanted to go for the vintage comic look, e.i. The Amazing Spider-man. I started by planning out my page and throwing down some quick gestures. Once I landed on an arrangement, I blocked out my anatomy and cleaned up each figure to begin the line work. To keep everything to scale and looking classic, I decided to do the lines with real ink. I scanned those back in and did some quick color work. I was hoping to do a shading pass before I finished, but here we are. Stay agile, citizens!

Salamander and the Pollywag! An amphibious duo who's ambition to serve justice far outweighs their competence as heroes. Salamander: A visceral humanoid lizard-man whose moral compass is guided by a teen who found him in the sewer and gave him freedom through invention. A pressurized water tank attached to a sponge and a crude humidity reader was all it took for the Salamander to become the hero we know today. Just keep him away from fire, or anything warm in general... or too dry. He's better suited for water related stuff. He has monstrous strength, razor sharp teeth, and a deadly toxin that secretes from his skin. The Pollywag: A teenage backyard inventor who often gets in trouble for inventing in his backyard. A couple experiments with an irradiated frog gave him a long, strong, sticky, tongue and the ability to jump slightly further than the average man. He heard reports of a beast hiding in the sewer and decided to explore. After happening upon a friendly, hulking, slimeball of a man he got to work. A couple days later and they emerged self-proclaimed superheroes. Beyond his frog powers he has the ability to climb any surface with his vacuum gloves. (Medium - Digital Painting)
